A minimal maintenance approach does not mean the sacrifice of aesthetics. Use of different types of hard surface to add texture and vibrancy.
- Low maintenance planting.
- Replace grassed areas with wildflowers or long grasses.
- Remove lawns and hedges.
- Use trees and shrubs that only need to be tidied up annually.
- Use of hardscaping materials with high estimated life span (reduces the likelihood of having to repair or replace after a short time frame).
- Hard landscaping that needs occasional attention such as sweeping or cleaning.
- Furniture that doesn’t require painting or treating, only cleaning.
